The Therapy Room in Athy Co. Kildare was established in 2020 by Dr Eileen Higgins PhD/ClinPsych, PMPsych (Clinical & Health), PgDip/Psych, BSc (Hons), DipCouns., DipS, M.Ps.S.I. MIACP

Dr Higgins is an Accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and holds a PhD (Research) in Clinical Psychology, Professional Master's Degree in Clinical & Health Psychology, Post-graduate Diploma in Psychology, Batchelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, Diploma in Counselling and Diploma in Counsellor Supervision.

Dr Eileen Higgins M.Ps.S.I. MIACP is a Board of Management Director at Athy Community Family Resource Centre in Kildare which plays a key role in the provision of services and supports that enhance the emotional, educational, economic and social welbeing of children, individuals, families and the communíty as a whole.
